Only two (2) VG 88 or higher 2 yr olds this week, a Roy and a Ladys Manor Remington. Calves registered list has Superstition back in first and over 200 with numbers a bit weaker. Bolton daughters are scoring well, avg of 81.65 on 121 of them. 6 VG 88 or higher 2 yr olds in Canada in July, 3 Goldwyns, 1 Champion, 1 Windstorm and 1 Lheros.

America’s new Top Cow
America’s top cow-index ranking has a new leader. This is Co-Op Boliver Yoyo VG-85, owned by Genex and a daughter of the successful brood cow Coyne-Farms Yelena. Yoyo is followed by Shottle daughter De-Su 7012 (who moved up considerably) and Sully Shottle May, who – as expected - appeared in the top ranks of this list. Goldwyn In North America
fter the latest index release in Canada, Braedale Goldwyn is being surrounded in the top-10 by no less than six sons. At 2740 LPI Gillette Jordan is the new Canadian leader. Just like his sire, he scores 15 for total type. Jordan is a Goldwyn from Gillette Durham Jericho and has a full brother, Jerrick, in fourth place of the LPI ranking. The highest type transmitters in the Canadian top-10 are Comestar Lauthority and R-E-W Seaver, both of them Goldwyn sons and out of an Igniter and a Durham dam respectively.
America’s highest Goldwyn is Glenn-Ann Palermo, who has a first official TPI of 1998. Palermo comes from a Rudolph dam and has 3.25 type. O-Man continues to reign in the American index top. His sons take 7 out of the 10 top places. The top-3 in the US remained unchanged: Freddie in 1st place!

Reigning in Canada
In Canada a special situation has occurred: both the bull and the cow index ranking are topped by products from the Gillette herd of the Patenaude family. Whereas Goldwyn son Gillette Jordan tops the male list, his former barn mate, Gillette Bolton 2nd Sleep, tops the female GLPI list. Herewith she holds on to the Nr.1 position she claimed earlier on. Gillette’s Bolton daughter is followed by two half-sisters out of the former Nr.1 cow, Comestar Lautamie Titanic. They are Comestar Lautama (by Goldwyn) and Lautamia (by Bolton). Bolton’s high breeding values in Canada result in a high appearance-rate of his daughters in the cow index list. The highest newcomer among them is Sonnek Double Dipped VG-85, who comes from a VG-87 Shottle dam, followed by an EX-91 Morty and an EX-90 Rudolph. The Canadian top list of non-DNA-tested cows is topped by Calbrett Goldwyn Liza, the VG-88 Lila Z daughter owned by Cedarwal & Coolea Farms. From Holstein International
