The New York National Spring Sale averaged $4521 on 78 lots. High price was 21,000 for first choice Durham or Outside sold from Tobi 2E 96, consigned by Kueffner Holsteins and sold to Doug Nelson of Derby Line, VT. He was a major buyer last night, taking 8 head for a total of $65,000!  A total of 6 head brought over $10,000. Show calves were hot items, with many bringing $4000. Lot 4, the Sept 01 Lee from C Rhein Broker Lee Ann Lily brought $11,000 from Doug Nelson.

This photo shows MS Ridgedale Raine in the ring, she was Lot 7, a fancy Sept 2000 yearling that brought $12,000 from Doug Nelson of VT, consigned by Ridgedale and Tara-Ridge Farms. She is sired by Encore, from 6 EX dams back to Roxy!

A high quality Junior Show was held, open only to NY Juniors. Grand was the EX 95 Gaige Highlight Tamara, owned by Alison Gaige. Reserve Grand was Ladyhom Dayna, owned by Jason Thomas.
