BRITISH INDEXES: In Great Britain the Lukas son Cogent Maestro continues to top the ranking. The No.2 and 3 positions remained unchanged, in the possession of Jock and Shottle. A fascinating newcomer is the Gordon son Burlane Tennyson, good for the 4th place with nice type.
GERMAN INDEXES: The drastically revised German total index allowed Gibor to climb further up the ranking. The 99% reliability Gibbon son moved up 7 points and is now in 2nd place behind Mascol. In the new RZG total index, fertility, udders, and legs receive relatively more weight.
ITALIAN INDEXES: Sensational in Italy, a Red Holstein bull managed to capture the No.1 position on debut. It is the Beautiful son Deejay-Red, a son of the successful bull dam Pietje 514, who has produced positively proven sons in other countries as well. Deejay-Red combines lots of milk with high percentages and favorable longevity, which have given him the Italian No.1 position. After the base adjustment, his type index is around zero. The bull Active held on to 2nd place. Also new in the top 5 is Go-Farm Turiddu, the Morty half-brother to Virzil. from Holstein International
FRENCH INDEXES: France is one of the countries that has its own publication schedule for sire proofs in 2008. By tradition, the French index release was held in the last week of February. Jocko son Revivien CV held on to the No.1 position going up 2 points to 177 ISU. The main beneficiaries of the February release include Tartare, Tuffiac, Saver and Riffin. The Dutch Boy son Tartare managed to add 3 points to his total index and is the No.2 bull of France now. His increase mostly came from improved production figures. The type specialist Roumare also moved up and stayed in the top-3. Ford son Tuffiac gained 4 points and now holds 5th place with an ISU of 171. The biggest gains were made by the Jocko sons Saver (+5) and Riffin (+6), now both in the top 10.from Holstein International
